NEW YEAR NEW HOPE

Happy new year everyone! The mood out there is foul, or should I say WAS? the French are now said to be the most pessimistic nation on earth which should not come as a surprise to most francophiles as the French looooove moaning, I should know, I'm one of them and it is in our genes that any diet start with stuffing one's face.... Can you not see the relation with real estate? well once upon a time , not so long ago, property had no real value in France, people kept totally unnecessary falling down property in there patrimony because it was their patrimony. Trying to buy such a house or piece of land from an owner was like pulling a tooth from a hen (I love that one), impossible. The European union changed all that and made it easy to purchase property in France. Dollar signs started changing my countrymens view on the purpose of paying land taxes on useless property and glutony for easily earned money became the new way. Well all good things have an end and I can hear plenty of moans about their children not being able to afford the land to build a house on. Oh yes the Brits have a name for it: getting on the property ladder!
